Working principle

Proximity switches use the principle of electromagnetic induction to detect the approach of metal objects. When a metal object approaches the proximity switch, the magnetic field generated by the electromagnetic coil will generate an induced current in the metal object.

This induced current causes power loss in the oscillator circuit, triggering switching action.


Installation and maintenance precautions

When installing a proximity switch, you need to pay attention to the following points:

‌Installation position‌: Make sure the distance between the proximity switch and the object being detected is appropriate to avoid damage to the switch due to friction and collision.

‌Space reserved‌: When installing the proximity switch on metal, a certain space should be reserved to avoid interference from other metals‌.

‌Prevent malfunction‌: Make sure that the metal parallel to the sensing surface is three times the detection distance from the sensing surface to avoid malfunction‌.

‌Wiring‌ : When wiring and wiring, pay attention to protecting the leads to avoid pulling and stepping on them. It is best to use line cards to fix the leads‌.
